Bentonite Clay (Natural)

Always Patch Test For Allergins

This particular clay is composited from lush volcanic ash and is loaded with tons of minerals including calcium, sodium, copper, magnesium, potassium, silica and iron.

In its natural powdered state, bentonite clay has negatively charged molecules.
Most toxins and impurities are positively charged, therefore Bentonite actually becomes electrically charged when introduced to nasty toxins and the clay bonds and absorbs the chemicals and heavy metals right out of your skin!

Acne, blackheads, and whiteheads are often the result of your skin producing too much oil within your pores. The clay is able to bind to bacteria and toxins that live within your pores and unclog any impurities that may be causing your breakouts and blemishes. Not only do the dirt and oils that clog your skin cause irritating pimples, but all that gunk also stretches your pores out!

To keep dirt and bacteria from falling into your pores like giant black holes, use it to keep your pores clean and allow them to shrink back to teeny tiny. Silica is mostly known for strengthening connective tissues in our bodies, but it's also a master of silkiness!

Silica happens to be a strong carrier for oxygen, which makes your skin look supple and hydrated. Combined with the exfoliating skills of the clay, the silica mineral should leave your skin feeling silky smooth!

Bentonite clay heals damaged skin tissues and assists the regeneration of new skin cells. This way, it helps remove wrinkles and fine lines by tightening the skin. A lot of factors can cause skin discoloration – and when not addressed on time, this can lead to pigmented and uneven skin tone. Since bentonite clay clears up your pores, reduces the appearance of scars, and exfoliates your skin, it can work wonders in evening out your skin tone.

Blemishes are another issue most people with acne struggle with. Even if the acne and inflammation decrease, the blemishes that are left behind are painful to work with. Bentonite clay helps reduce the appearance of these stubborn marks.

Facial Mask Instructions:

Mix with equal parts witch hazel or water. Stir the mixture until it is a smooth paste add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply a layer of clay to the face or other areas and let it dry. Generally 5 minutes for delicate skin and 15-20 minutes for normal skin. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation, deep pore cleansing. Remove clay by washing with warm water and soap. A slight redness may appear after removing the clay. This is normal and will disappear in approximately 30 minutes.

Normal-dry skin may use honey, yogurt, cream, milk, glycerin instead of water, or can add pureed avocado, cucumber, or afew drops of a carrier oil such as Jojoba oil.

Oily skin may add Witch Hazel extract, apple cider vinegar,or lemon juice, to the clay mixture.

Acne prone skin can add vinegar or lemon juice and 1-2 drops of Tea Tree or Lavender essential oil.
